Jharkhand bandh has been announced on February 1 in protest against the arrest of Hemant Soren.
ED has taken Hemant Soren into custody , after which the protest has been announced under the banner of All Tribal Native Organization tomorrow that is 1st February. But Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has denied for this news.
On January 31, after 8 hours of interrogation by ED officials, Hemant Soren resigned from the post of Chief Minister. After that the ED team took him into their custody. In protest against this, tribal organizations have announced Jharkhand bandh on 1st February.
Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha chief Hemant Soren resigned on wednesday evening. Hemant Soren met Governor CP Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhawan and tendered his resignation. Meanwhile, JMM leaders confirmed that Soren is in ED custody.
Various poltical leaders have come in support to the arrest of Hemant Soren.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has strongly protested against the detention of Hemant Soren. Through his official twitter handle, he has tweeted “ED, CBI, IT etc are no longer government agencies, they have now become BJP’s ‘eliminate opposition cell.”
Whereas Congress President Mallika Arjun Kharge has tweeted “Whoever did not go with Modi ji will go to jail.”

Let us, tell you that action has been taken against Hemant Soren in regard to Money Laundering Case, related to the alleged scam case. Earlier the ED team had issued summons 10 times to Hemant Soren. To this, he was questioned for several hours.
A history has been created where the first time, a sitting Chief Minister has been arrested. ED to produce Hemant Soren in court tomorrow at 10:30 am.

After the resignation of Henant Soren from the Chief Minister position. Champai Soren is likely to take over Hemant Soren as the next chief Minisiter of Jharkhand. Earlier, it was seen that Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpa Soren was to become the next chief minister.
Outside the Raj Bhavan, Jharkhand’s new Chief Minister Champai Soren said that he has staked claim to form the government before the Governor. They went with the support of 43 MLAs. JMM MLA Alamgir says that we have 47 MLAs, we have submitted the letters of support of 43 MLAs to the Governor. He has asked us to give him time soon.
